For those of you who do not know, Grommi and Grandaddy (Hollis' parents) are building a new house out in Hardaway on our property. Forever they have wanted to build a house, but not just any house they are building a version of Ethel's house. When Ethel had a wedding shower for us in her new home Grommi and Grandaddy fell in love and ever since they have set out to build their own dream home. Just to give you a little idea of where they are building in relation to our house...well if you are familiar with our driveway when it starts to curve, their driveway goes straight. Their frontyard and front porch view is the front pasture/field. They are not too close but not too far away...just PERFECT! We are also planting a garden in the woods between our two houses that will be Bobby's Garden. We know we will never forget her and this is our way of keeping her memory alive...she LOVED the dirt!!This will be the path to follow in order to get from one house to another. I can't wait to get to making the stepping stones...any helpers?
Below you will see pictures as the house is being built. The kids have really enjoyed riding over on the four wheeler with Miss Savannah each day to "watch the men build" and "ride the chines (machines in Trey words)."
