A whole lot has been going on

So we haven't had time to write in a while because we have had a WHOLE lot going on. First of all, Hollis started back to school August 5th and then the students started back August 11th so things are hectic again. We lost our chocolate lab Dixie, she has been missing for 4 weeks now and a puppy decided to make her home underneath our house. We have not yet decided on a name but Fay is a possibility. According to Dr. Moore, she is about 3 months old and she is some sort of doberman. She is very shy and so we are working on that. There is no telling how long she has been living under the house but we are thinking someone dropped her off and she chose our home. We also have 2 new kittens, Coco and Chanel. They are too cute and of course the kids just love them. They are 6 weeks old and currently living in our dog/mud room. Kady thinks they are her kittens and they might think she is their new mom. On top of all that, Bess had tubes put in her ears on Wednesday morning. She has had several ear infections and so Dr. Karen Doyles made the decision and sent us to Dr. Evans, the ENT. We went for the initial visit Tuesday and they scheduled us for Wednesday morning. She did wonderful. Unfortunately the tears and screaming after the surgery was heartbreaking but they said its the anesthesia. After a little nap on the ride home and some food in her tummy she took a good nap and woke up her usual happy self. So, that's what we have been doing lately. Let us know what you all have been up to.
Oh and please keep checking out our blog. Richard and I are participating in the Team in Training Mercedes Marathon and we are going to need your help and support. More information to follow. Have a wonderful day and we will blog again real soon! Of course we have TONS of cute pictures to share!

Nanny Bess and Hollis

So we found this picture of Nanny Bess and Hollis. I am guessing it was taken around 1982 or so...no idea to tell you the truth. Just wanted to share our great grandmother Bess Thompkins Peavy, who our little Bess Lang Bosch is named after. Oh and of course she is also named after our grandmother Bobby Bess Peavy Cranford.

Bring on the Chicken!!!

Okay...so most of you know that Richard has said for years that he is allergic to chicken. Well, after I bugged him over and over again to get it checked out he finally went to the ENT. After a painful visit, they took a little blood, we waited for 2 weeks to get the results. Today they informed us that he is NOT allergic to chicken or turkey! Hooray...I can finally cook chicken for my family. And, this means if you invite us for dinner no special menu for the picky eater!
